  17. I have an unusual problem with Kermit on Linux. I recently moved my
  18. Linux installation to another hard drive. I used tar to do the copying
  19. to maintain the file permissions and links. Obviously I have messed
  20. something up becuase Kermit will not work for any users. (It will work
  21. under the root ID). I have checked that kermit is installed guid uucp
  22. and /usr/spool/uucp is writable by group uucp. I even sued to uucp to
  23. check that uucp can write the lock file.
